What is AHA HeartCode and how does it work?

AHA HeartCode is the official American Heart Association blended learning format. It combines a comprehensive online cognitive portion (completed at your own pace) with a hands-on, in-person skills practice and testing session. You receive the exact same provider card as the traditional classroom course. Because these courses are completed via voice assisted manikins, an instructor may not be present.

Yes. You must complete the online HeartCode module and print or screenshot your Certificate of Completion before attending the hands-on skills session. Instructors are legally required to verify this certificate before allowing you to test.

In most cases, immediately. Your official AHA eCard is claimed and delivered digitally directly to your email address within 1 to 2 hours of successfully completing your hands-on skills check, but no later than the end of the business day. If you did not receive your card, please look here before reaching out.

Yes! We specialize in on-site group training for medical clinics, dental practices, fitness centers, and corporate offices. We bring all manikins, AED trainers, and training materials directly to your workplace. Minimum group sizes apply.

We do not allow for rescheduling, cancellations, or refunds. There is no exception to this.

Healthcare students, including nursing (RN/LPN), dental, and medical students, almost universally require the AHA BLS Provider certification. Do not take 'Heartsaver' unless explicitly instructed; choose BLS to ensure compliance.

Your card expires. Your skills shouldn't.
